Pizzicar Galante – with mandolinist Anna Schivazappa and harpsichordist Fabio Antonio Falcone – are going to record their second CD with works by Domenico Scarlatti for mandolin and harpsichord. Anna Schivazappa has studied the mandolin in Urbino and Padua in Italy and is currently working on her PHD in musicology. The project is presented in the following video:

One of my favorite Baroque pieces for mandolin and guitar is the Sonata 8 by Abbate Ranieri Capponi. I have found videos with Katsia Prakopcyk, Marissa Carroll, Natalia Marashova, Camilla Finardi and Sebastián Vera at youtube. Caterina Lichtenberg and Mike Marshall have played a concert at the Carmel Bach Festival in 2014. A set of youtube videos from this concert is available. You can hear the concerto for oboe and violin BWV 1060 by J. S. Bach, two concert by Antonio Vivaldi and as a great finale the choro Santa Morena.
