Valzer per un Amore – I have discovered this song years ago, and every now and than I need to search for it again. Now I have compiled a post about this song to find it better next time.
The song has been written by Fabrizio de André who is one of the most important singers and composer of songs in Italy. You can find the most important information about Fabrizi de André in the Wikipedia.
The melody of this song is based on a composition by the Italian composer Gino Marinuzi – Valzer Campestre. This is a recording of the Valzer Campestre played by the Banda dell’Arma dei Carabinieri
The song has been published by Fabrizio de André on his album nuvole barocche in 1969, there are many videos with this recording on youtube:
I have found many videos with versions by other artists. I have compiled the best videos in my playlist below. In this playlist you can also find several videos with the original Valzer Campestre by Gino Marinuzzi.
Sarah Jarosz has just released her new EP LIVE AT THE TROUBADOUR – this is the information that I have got in the latest newsletter from sugarhill records:

5. Broussard’s Lament
In anticipation of the release, four live performance videos were shared exclusively with outlets The Bluegrass Situation, CMT Edge, Bluegrass Nation and RecordStoreDay.com. Shot by videographer Alex Chaloff, the four videos beautifully capture the magic of her live shows.
Here are all the videos with Sarah Jaros at Troubadour mentioned in that newsletter – some great performances of Sarah Jarosz together with Alex Hargreaves (cello) and Nathaniel Smith (violin).
Sarah Jarosz – Shankill Butchers – Broussard s Lament
Sarah Jarosz’ career has skyrocketed since she was a teenager with a guitar, incredible songs and a habit of hanging out at her local Austin Texas record stores. And that was all only a few years ago. She’s been Grammy-nominated, had two critically adored releases and worked with legends in the bluegrass/folk world. But she’s never had a live record. Until now. And we’re pretty psyched that her live debut LIVE AT THE TROUBADOUR, recorded in August of last year, is itself debuting on Record Store Day. Have a little look at the loveliness in store.

During her show at the famed L.A. club, Jarosz accompanied herself on acoustic guitar for a lovely rendition of “Kathy’s Song,” written by Paul Simon and originally recorded on Simon & Garfunkel’s 1966 Sounds of Silence album.
