“Caroline” by River Boy – Acoustic, Bluegrassy Music

I have just found the album River Boy on the airplaydirect site and listened to the complete album. River Boy plays great bluegrass music, with great harmony singing, great mandolin solos by Bob Sachs, great songs and instrumentals.

From airplaydirect:

The band River Boy has released their self-titled debut album chocked full of fresh, original bluegrass material. The album’s lead off single “Caroline” has been getting the attention of bluegrass lovers nationwide not only because it’s a great song and great sound, but a high-definition video of the band and the girl has already seen thousands of hits on YouTube.

Veteran musicians Shayne Floyd, Walter Biffle, Bob Sachs, and Gary Hewitt have been working out of Charleston, SC for the last several years. The album is heavy on fun, upbeat tunes.

From band homepage:

This ain’t no funky beat.  This beat is steady. Grounded in traditional bluegrass music.  Driven by new ideas about old things – life & love, happiness & heartbreak, traveling adventures throughout the west and the world. This music is fraught with acoustic, stringed instruments – guitar, banjo, mandolin, fiddle, dobro and bass.  River Boy is a band, an album, and a song.

Enjoy River Boy!
