Anna Torge – Mandolin and Baroque Mandolin – Concertos…

The German mandolin player Anna Torge has studied modern and historical mandolin at the music university Köln/Wuppertal with Prof. Marga Wilden-Hüsgen. Anna Torge has played two mandolin concertos in a concert of the Haydn-Festival in Brühl. This concert has been recorded by the WDR radio station and is available for streaming for a limited time.

Pizzicar Galante – Mandolin Sonatas by Domenico Scarlatti –…

Pizzicar Galante – with mandolinist Anna Schivazappa and harpsichordist Fabio Antonio Falcone – are going to record their second CD with works by Domenico Scarlatti for mandolin and harpsichord.

Anna Schivazappa has studied the mandolin in Urbino and Padua in Italy and is currently working on her PHD in musicology.

The project is presented in the following video:

The first CD of Pizzicar Galante was dedicated to the composer Robert Valentini. The complete recording has been made available on youtube by the recording company Brilliant Classics:

Caterina Lichtenberg and Mike Marshall – Carmel Bach Festival…

Caterina Lichtenberg and Mike Marshall have played a concert at the Carmel Bach Festival in 2014. A set of youtube videos from this concert is available. You can hear the concerto for oboe and violin BWV 1060 by J. S. Bach, two concert by  Antonio Vivaldi and as a great finale the choro Santa Morena.

Caterina Lichtenberg plays on a baroque mandolin and on her German bowlback mandolin.
