Danilo Brito is one of the best bandolim players in Brazil. He has performed together with Mike Marshall and other American mandolin players. Now I have found the following concert which he gave together with piano player André Mehmari. The program was composed of compositions by Ernesto Nazareth, Garoto or
Its difficult to describe the music, it’s a mix of Brazilian Choro, classical music, with influences from Portuguese Fado musica and maybe also some influences from Jazz.

O Charme do Choro is a six piece female choro band. Composed of flute, two guitars, cavaquinho, pandeiro and bandolim they play Brazilian choros including some of the great choros like Santa Morena, “Vibrações”, Brejeiro, Pedacinhos do Céu and of course Carinhoso.
The group has existed for more than eight years now and had some spectacular performances during the last years. The played with singer Dona Onete and with guitarist Sebastiao Tapajos in a show named O Terruá Pará, and you can find several videos from this show at youtube.
They always play in a beautiful outfit, using dresses with flowers, dresses in different colors or all in red. It’s fun to watch and listen to O Charme do Choro.
