Eddie Kirkland – known as the Gypsy of the Blues – has died in a car accident. He was 87 years old.
He was still performing 40 weeks every year and just came from a concert when the accident happened.
Eddie Kirkland started playing the guitar and performing at an early age of 12 years – so he has been an active musician for 75 years. Eddie Kirkland played with John Lee Hooker for many years, and he played together with many other great musicians.
