Kollmaneck was a zither player and composer who has composed pieces for mandolin orchestra and has published arrangements for mandolin orchestras in his publishing company Hella in Leipzig.<\/p>\n<p>I own several pieces composed or arranged by Kollmaneck and have begun to make scans and upload those to my website.<\/p>\n<p>The first two little pieces are the march from the opera Fidelio by Ludwig van Beethoven and a piece for glockenspiel and mandolin orchestra by Kollmaneck that have been published in 1923.<\/p>\n<h4>Marsch from the opera Fidelio by Ludwig van Beethoven.<\/h4>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.mandoisland.de\/noten2012\/kollmaneck\/marsch_600.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"460\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I have found the following version of this march for piano four hands, an arrangement by Zemlinsky:<\/p>\n<h4>Marsch aus Fidelio<\/h4>\n<div class=\"ast-oembed-container \" style=\"height: 100%;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Marsch aus &quot;Fidelio&quot;\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/umCVn2B6N7s?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>The second example is the scene that comes before the march from a performance of Fidelio at the Metropolitan Opera in 2000 &#8211;\u00a0 the march begins at ca. 7:24:<\/p>\n<h4 id=\"watch-headline-title\">Fidelio, Act 1.3 &#8211; &#8220;Gut, S\u00f6hnchen, gut,&#8221; Marsch<\/h4>\n<blockquote><p>From a 2000 production of Beethoven&#8217;s Fidelio at the Met.
