{"id":3781,"date":"2011-12-12T20:35:01","date_gmt":"2011-12-12T18:35:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.mandoisland.com\/?p=3781"},"modified":"2017-10-08T10:36:09","modified_gmt":"2017-10-08T08:36:09","slug":"desvairada-a-great-choro-by-garoto-anibal-augusto-sardinha","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mandoisland.com\/?p=3781","title":{"rendered":"Desvairada &#8211; A Great Choro by Garoto (Anibal Augusto Sardinha)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A choro tune that I have heard many times during this years European Mandolin Academy is <strong>Desvairada<\/strong> by <strong>Garoto<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Garoto was the Nickname of <strong>Anibal Augusto Sardinha<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Here is some information from the site <a href=\"http:\/\/brazilianmusic.com\/garoto\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">http:\/\/brazilianmusic.com\/garoto\/<\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Anibal Augusto Sardinha, better known as Gar\u00f4to, (The Kid), was born from Portuguese immigrants Ant\u00f4nio Augusto Sardinha and Adosinda dos Anjos Sardinha in downtown S\u00e3o Paulo on June 28,1915.<\/p>\n<p>&#8230;.<\/p>\n<p>In the last 15 years of his life, (Gar\u00f4to died at age 39 on May 3, 1955), he worked very hard, playing in recording sessions, doing concerts, and composing some of the most wonderful songs Brazilians ever listened to, some, selling over a million copies.
