This is a real masterpice by Raffaele Calace, and it is good, that this concerto ist played by the best mandolin players of today in their concerts.<\/p>\n<p>Yesterday I have found several very good videos with this concerto.<\/p>\n<p>This concerto was composed for mandolin and piano, but it can also be played with a full orchestra like in the first Video.<\/p>\n<p>The first video is from a concert with <strong>Katsia Prakopchyk<\/strong> (mandolin) and the <strong>Minsk Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.prakopchyk.de\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Katsia Prakopchyk<\/a> &#8211; biographical notes from her homepage:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>was born in 1979 in Babruisk (Belarus). At the age of nine, she started to play the domra with Tatjana Varava and Jaraslau Valasiuk. After her first domra\/mandolin studies with Nikolai Maretzki at the belarussian music academy in Minsk, she came to the university of music Cologne. There, a decisive influence on her musical development was Prof. Marga Wilden-H\u00fcsgen with whom she finished her artistic instrumental education with distinction for the instruments mandolin and baroque mandolin.
